There's only so much time you can spend sat looking out of the window at rainy Yorkshire days before the mind starts to wander. When you're sat in a bike shop too, it's almost enevitable that some component or another will catch your eye and before you know if you've dreamt up a whole build based around the anodised finish of a rogue spoke nipple.

With the rain showing no signs of buggering off anytime soon we decided to build not one, but two of these crazy builds.We managed to rope Tommy Armstrong into custom spraying some top end carbon CC Santa Cruz Frames and let Al loose in the warehouse like a kid in a sweet shop. After many, many discussions about what should go where, we came up with our dream specs and handed it over to John the mechanic and set the camera's rolling.
