The V2 Shorty has taken lessons from the World Cups and EWS, it's learnt to provide greater grip and mud clearance for those times when the trail or track is saturated and a little bit spicy.
With a revised tread pattern the new knob layout has come from feedback from Maxxis own World Cup and EWS riders. The Doublewide knob is now spilt into two individual knobs and the side knobs have massively improved for more supportive cornering.

3C MaxxTerra Compound
- An intermediate compound configuration used in select mountain tires. 3C MaxxTerra is softer and offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip
EXO casing
- An extremely cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of select mountain tyres. This densely woven fabric is also lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the performance of the tyre remains unaffected. Choose EXO Protection for exceptionally rocky, treacherous trails where the chance of sidewall cuts and abrasions is high
Tubeless Ready
- Tubeless tyres provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tyre; and less chance of flatting since there is no tube. Liquid sealants should only be used in the following types of tyres: Tubeless Road, Tubular, and Tubeless Ready. The use of liquid sealants in any other Maxxis tire will void the warranty
Wide Trail
- Wide Trail (WT) construction optimises the tyre's tread layout and profile on today's modern, wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed around older, narrower rims and can create an overly square tyre profile, leading to less than optimal performance. WT tyres are optimized for a 35mm inner rim width but are proven to work over a range from 30-35mm inner rim widths, depending on the rider's preference

We're stoked to join a grassroots scheme being overseen by Velorim to recycle and reprocess your old tyres and tubes to ensure zero waste landfill, zero waste incinerated and zero waste exported. To dispose of your old tyres and tubes, simply drop them into either of our stores. We'll have them recycled for free if you're buying a replacement from us, otherwise there is a small fee (60p per tyre, 25p per tube) to help with the costs of collecting and processing.

Bike Orders
All bikes and frames are shipped with FedEX 24hr Tracked Delivery within the UK. Bikes are assembled and fully checked by our mechanics prior to dispatch, therefore lead times can vary. One of our sales team will contact you upon receipt of your order to arrange a suitable delivery date
International Orders
International Orders are sent using Royal Mail International Tracked Delivery. These items are usually delivered within 3-7 working days of despatch.
All International order postage costs are an estimate. If the estimate is correct your order will be shipped immediately. In the rare event that the postage estimate won't cover your delivery we will contact you with a postage quote.
